Living Funeral
Let’s celebrate life while you’re here to hear the stories.
This is a chance to gather loved ones before death, to share stories, express gratitude, mend relationships and celebrate a life fully lived.
Instead of words spoken after someone has gone, this is a time when you can hear the tributes, feel the love, and be part of the moment. An uplifting way to create connection, closure, and joy while time still allows. The ceremony can be held at home, at a hospice or hospital (with permission), in a garden, at a favourite venue, or anywhere that feels comfortable. There are no rules, only what feels right. Your living funeral could include a tribute, family and friends’ speeches, favourite music or live performances, photo or video memories, letters of appreciation, shared meal or afternoon tea, memory books or keepsakes, candle lighting or blessing rituals, cultural or family traditions, laughter, storytelling and connection.
I will carefully write and shape the day, so it flows naturally and never feels overwhelming. I will welcome guests, introduce speakers, keep things moving smoothly and offer reassurance if emotions arise. Having someone neutral and compassionate leading the ceremony means family members and loved ones can simply be present. I will create an atmosphere where people feel safe to express love, gratitude, and even laughter.
I will make the experience personal, meaningful and full of heart. This ceremony can be uplifting and healing, leaving everyone feeling connected; it becomes less about saying goodbye and more about celebrating a life well lived.
A Personal Goodbye
Let’s honour life, share stories and create meaningful farewells.
Saying goodbye to someone we love is one of life’s most emotional moments. It can feel overwhelming to find the right words or know how to honour their life. I will guide you through that difficult time and create a personalised funeral or memorial ceremony that feels respectful, meaningful and offers comfort and connection, and a chance to truly honour the life that was lived.
I will work with you to create heartfelt, respectful, and meaningful services that reflect the unique personality, beliefs, and story of your loved one. Unlike a traditional religious service, I shape the ceremony entirely around the person who has died and the wishes of their family. The focus is on telling their story, celebrating their life, character and legacy.
Each service is thoughtfully crafted to reflect your wishes, culture or family traditions. The ceremony will feel authentic and personal, whether traditional, modern, spiritual, non-religious or somewhere in between.
During difficult times, you deserve someone who listens carefully and supports you with empathy. I create space for families to share memories, laugh, cry and reflect then I transform those stories into a ceremony that truly honours your loved one. No two lives are the same. No two ceremonies should be either.
