There are many reasons why you may wish to hold a naming ceremony instead of a religious ceremony. A celebrant-led ceremony turns naming from a formality into a moment of intention and love. It creates a truly special service to welcome a baby or child into your family by celebrating their name and asking special individuals to be support people for your growing child.  A naming ceremony can also be a celebration of adoption, blending of two families, or celebrate a new name for yourself, after a change by deed poll.

I will spend time to find out what matters the most to you and any family or cultural traditions. I will create a ceremony that is warm, joyful and filled with meaning. I will present your ceremony with calm confidence and warmth, guiding you and your guests with a natural, conversational style. Nothing feels scripted, just genuine connection and meaningful words delivered with care.

If you would like symbolic rituals like candle lighting, creating a time capsule, planting a tree, sand blending or special people reading, I gently guide each element of the ceremony, so it runs smoothly and feels effortless. Whether it’s in your garden or a local venue, the key isn’t the size or expense, it’s whether the ceremony feels meaningful to you.
